Abstract. Article presents a clinical case of a female patient suffering from the most common form (mucosal variant) of eosinophilic colitis with colon mucosa damage. The disease manifested with diarrhea, malabsorption, and protein-losing enteropathy. Diagnosis was based on intestinal symptoms, peripheral blood eosinophilia, normal colonic mucosal condition, histological biopsy findings (eosinophilic infiltration of the colonic mucosa) with careful exclusion of other causes of eosinophilia.
