Abstract. On the territory of Russia, there are regions-enclaves for HEV, such as the Belgorod region, where increased incidence rates and a high prevalence of anti-HEV antibodies in the population are recorded. Anti-HEV IgG antibodies are often found in men over 60 with chronic liver disease. We have presented a rare description of a variant of a severe course of infection with autochthonous hepatitis E and A in a young woman. The analysis of the presented clinical observation indicates the need for a comprehensive differential diagnostic approach in the management of patients. The patient showed signs of hemorrhagic organ damage, proteinuria, with detection of Hantavirus markers in ELISA, which makes it possible to diagnose hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome. We wanted to draw attention to the increase in the spread of severe mixed infection and to diagnose cases suspected of acute viral hepatitis in a timely manner.
