Diseases of the thyroid gland during pregnancy are a worldwide clinical problem. Since the publication by the American Thyroid Association (ATA) in 2011 the latest clinical guidelines for this pathology, many new clinical and scientific achievements in this field have been occurred. New published recommendations give clinicians, researchers, patients and representatives of the health care system contemporary ideas for of current management of female patients with thyroid disease during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
