Abstract. 2022 marks the 145–th anniversary of the birth of academician N.I. Leporsky. Purpose: to present facts from the life of N.I. Leporsky, his merits. Results. In 1923–1942, Professor N.I. Leporsky headed the Department of Hospital Therapy of the Medical Faculty of the Voronezh University (since 1930 – the Voronezh Medical Institute). N.I. Leporsky owns 120 scientific papers, 5 monographs, 7 doctoral dissertations were defended under his supervision. He proposed a way to study the function of the stomach using a «trial breakfast», his work «Diseases of the pancreas» was internationally recognized. Conclusions. Among the students of N.I. Leporsky are 2 academicians, 9 professors, many worthy scientists and doctors.
