Is there a relationship between bronchial asthma and arterial hypertension?

The article describes the current state of problem of the prevalence of bronchial asthma and arterial hypertension, their pathogenetic interaction and features of therapy of patients with this comorbid pathology. Hypothesis of genesis of symptomatic «pulmogenic» arterial hypertension, which develops against the background of bronchoobstructive diseases, is discussed. The arguments against the hypothesis given, in favor of the theory of increased blood pressure in patients with bronchial asthma as manifestations of arterial hypertension, are considered. The lack of consensus on this subject among experts, requiring further research, is emphasized.
