The diagnosis of primary immunodeficiency (PID) is an important task in the clinical practice of various specialists, including primary care physicians. The time from the onset of symptoms to the diagnosis of PID in patients in Russia takes decades. During this period, irreversible changes in organs are formed, which worsen the quality and shorten the life of patients. Despite the variety of clinical manifestations, it is not difficult to suspect PID. The article presents basic information about primary immunodeficiency, allowing to isolate a patient with a congenital immune disorder from the general group of «frequently ill» patients and promptly refer them to an immunologist.
