The development of modern medicine leads to an increasing number of surgical interventions, including in the elderly and patients with severe comorbidities. In this regard, a doctor of any specialty often faces the question of the need for planned surgical treatment in patients receiving anticoagulants and disaggregants. Perioperative management of this category of patients is a rather complex problem, since taking antithrombotic drugs increases the risk of bleeding during surgery and their cancellation in the presence of certain comorbidities may lead to thromboembolic complications. This article covers the issues of prescribing and interrupting long-term anticoagulant and disaggregant therapy when planning surgery and conducting regional anesthesia. The purpose of this review is to determine possible schemes for prescribing antithrombotic drugs in the perioperative period to reduce the risk of possible bleeding and maintain thromboembolic prevention.
Keywords: anticoagulants in surgery, antithrombotic therapy, bridge therapy, thromboembolic complications
