Abstract. The article reviews the data on anemia impact in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) course, prognosis, and approaches to the treatment of ACS regarding presence of anemia and correction of anemia in ACS patients. Elibrary and PubMed databases were analyzed in the period since 2015 till 2020 as well as the most recent Russian and European clinical guidelines on acute coronary syndrome. Anemia has been shown to have a significant negative impact on short-and long-term outcomes in patients with acute forms of coronary artery disease. Revascularization is rarely prescribed to patients with ACS accompanied by anemia. Such patients are rarely prescribed standard medical therapy for ACS. Therapeutic options for the treatment of anemia in ACS remain limited. The aspects of dual antiplatelet therapy prescription and revascularization options in ACS patients with anemia have not been sufficiently studied.
