Abstract. Hepatitis E (HE) is one of the most commonly occurred hepatitis. About 20 million cases of viral HE infection are recorded annually, of which 3.3 million are accompanied by clinical manifestations. The severity and form of the disease are determined by various factors, such as age and gender of the patient, changes in premorbid background, also by immune status, presence of pregnancy, and virus genotype. The clinical picture of viral HE is variable – from asymptomatic forms to fulminant and chronic HE. The aim of the review is to analyze the clinical manifestations of viral HE in immunosuppression individuals based on current publications from PubMed, eLibrary, and Scopus databases.
