Abstract. Nowadays, in our country, as well as throughout the world, there is a stable increase in the prevalence of oncological diseases, which could be explained by aging of population, environmental, economic and other factors. The solution to this important problem depends on the efficacy of diagnosing the early stages of oncological diseases, including those at the level of outpatient therapeutic chain. Formation of oncological alertness skills in physicians can reduce the number of cases when tumors are detected already at advanced/late stages and facilitate earlier initiation of specialized treatment. Identification of symptoms and signs raising suspicion for malignant neoplasms by using algorithmic approaches and subsequent consultation of the patient by a specialist or oncologist are the key to treatment outcomes improving. The article offers a set of specially developed methodological materials making easier the implementation of oncological alertness rules for their use at the outpatient stage by therapists and general practitioners.
