Aim. To estimate the level of compliance and frequency dynamic of various levels in hypertensive patients with stage I-II, grades 1–3: baseline and 12 months after learning at the health school. Material and methods. We examined 65 men with hypertension I-II stage 1-3 grades, middle age is 39,6±7,4 years. The level of compliance was estimated using the “Scale for Estimating Compliance Level in Hypertensive Patients” (SECL-HP), which includes 20 questions, and was determined twice: baseline and 12 months after the patients were learned at the health school «Hypertension». Results. The sum of points for SECL-HP in the first/second survey was (Me [25; 75]): 38 (34; 45)/50 (45; 53) respectively. After learning at the health school the number of patients with a high level of compliance increased [from 1 (1,5%) to 31 (47,7%)], and the number of patients with a low level of compliance decreased [from 36 (55,4%) to 4 (6,15%)]. The frequency of the average level of compliance has not changed: 28 (43,1%) and 30 (46,1%) men, respectively. Conclusion. With the help of scale SECL-HP it is advisable to estimate the adherence in hypertensive patients.
