Troponin I and D-dimer in diagnostics of myocardial infarction

Until now, mortality from myocardial infarction is in the first place. At the same time, young people are suffering more and more. Recently, atypical forms of myocardial infarction have become more common, which, of course, complicates the diagnostics of the disease. In connection with the development of laboratory diagnostics, it became possible to determine the markers of myocardial infarction in blood, which increase regardless of the clinical manifestations of the disease. The value of tests increases in those cases when is difficult electrocardiographic diagnostics of the disease. The study revealed a direct correlation between ST-segment elevation, the presence of myocardial infarction complications, disease recurrence and increased in the level of troponin I in blood. The increase in the level of D-dimer was associated not only with myocardial infarction, but also with the presence of concomitant pathology and recent surgical interventions. The localization of myocardial lesions in the groups of men and women, accompanied by the highest rise in the concentration of troponin I and D-dimer, was determined.
