Abstract. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has a high prevalence in the population (about 11,7%) and is also associated with high mortality, especially among patients over 75 years of age. At the same time, this disease can be prevented and its course effectively controlled. Presented consensus highlights the most important and controversial aspects of the management of elderly patients with COPD – peculiarities of the clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of the disease in this age group of patients.
