Imaging diagnostic methods are widely used in the management of patients with infective endocarditis, a key role played by echocardiography, which allows to assess the prognosis and dynamics of treatment. In accordance with the recommendations of the European society of cardiology, echocardiography should be performed in all cases with suspected infective endocarditis, the method of which depends on the specific clinical situation. In addition, echocardiography is a study that determines the tactics of management of patients with this pathology, allowing to identify indications for surgical treatment.
