Abstract. The aim of the article is to introduce recommendations for the management of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in real clinical practice. Modern methods for assessing the activity of SLE, character of its clinical course, physical and laboratory diagnostic methods, and the main groups of drugs used in the treatment of this disease are presented. The material is intended for rheumatologists and therapists engaged in general medical practice.
